Hydrophasianus chirurgus

Adult pheasant-tailed jacana and chick (Hydrophasianus chirurgus). In this species, male and female plumage are very similar, so it is difficult to know the gender of the adult. However, this is one of the few bird species where males provide all the parental care, so this is probably a male with one of his offspring.
